There are four grades of membership available:

Corporate Membership:
All employees of a Corporate Member Company are automatically entitled to the full benefit of UK Magnetic Society membership. In addition, the Member Company will receive preferential advertising rates in Magnews.

Academic Membership:
Any members of staff or students of the named Academic Department are automatically entitled to the full benefit of UK Magnetic Society membership.

Individual Industrial Membership:
Entitles one named employee of a Company to enjoy the full benefit of UK Magnetic Society membership, with the exception of preferential advertising rates in Magnews. Membership details and benefits will be specific to the individual, rather than their Company.

Individual Academic/Retired Person Membership:
Entitles one named member of staff or one named student from an academic establishment, or a retired person to enjoy the full benefit of UK Magnetic Society membership.
