The UK Magnetics Society is a leading international Society, representing both industrial and academic interests in all spheres of Magnetics. The UK Magnetics Society is a not-for-profit mutual organisation with a formal constitution. The Society is managed by a committee drawn from its membership. There are no geographical restrictions on membership.
The UK Magnetics Society's primary aims are to:
Promote collaboration and transfer of knowledge between industry and academia.
Provide services to its members through publicising magnetics and channelling members' information to a wide and relevant audience.
It achieves these aims through:
The organisation of on a wide range of subjects promoting information exchange and networking opportunities, bringing together academic and industrial participants.
The publication of Magnews - the Society's quarterly publication which has a wide and targeted international readership.
Acting as a technology broker for enquiries for the benefit of its members and maintaining a comprehensive technical directory of members' products and services, which is used in responding to external technical enquiries.
